Selena Gomez is an internationally famous actress and singer. One of the shows she's been a part of and has enjoyed the most success has been the Disney series he Wizards of Waverly Place. Selena Marie Gomez has a full name. Born on July 22, 1992 in Grand Prairie Texas. Amanda Cornett and Ricardo Gomez were her parents. The mother of Selena was only 16 at the time Selena first came to the scene. When she was just 9 years old, Selena landed her first job in the world of showbiz as she portrayed Gianna on Barney and her Friends. This meant she was among many children to have played with Barney, the infamous anthropomorphic pink dinosaur. Selena performed on a variety of episodes from episodes 7 and 8 in the period between 2001 and 2003. Selena Gomez was not the only singer who sang in Barney and His Friends from 2001 to 2003. Demi Lorvato joined the cast as well. After the show ended, Selena Gomez auditioned for several parts in different programs as well as films, but wasn't much success. After leaving the series, Selena auditioned for roles in various other programs and films but was not very successful. Also, she was cast in the role of Emily Grace Garcia, a person she wrote as a musical in 2006's Brain Zapped.
